happy 6 months
wee grub!
this week
grub
arrived
in
switzerland!
both
the wee grub
and i
are
happy to finally
be all together.
grub was amazed
with how much
the belly
had grown
since he last saw it.
although wee grub
is moving around
quite a bit
grub
seems to have
"a calming force"
over wee grub
because every time
he lays his hands
on my belly
wee grub
settles down
and stops moving.
we are both
hoping that
that ability
continues
after wee grub
is outside
the belly.
it seems
that every time
i move or press
on my belly
wee grub moves
around
to get situated...
we think it must
be like
being in
a small tent
and
someone pushes down
on one side of
the tent
or shakes the tent...
and wee grub
is like
"hey, stop
messing with my tent!"
imagine what
that must feel like?!
must be annoying.
so grub keeps
telling me
"hey,
don't mess
with the tent!"
i often wonder
what
wee grub
will look like...
i am hoping
for
a little girl
with grub's
curly black
hair
but
we will happy
to have
a little boy too.
my belly button
is
getting shallower
by the day
and probably will
soon be an outie.
that grosses me out
but
i guess that
i will deal
with it.
do all belly buttons
pop out?
do they stay
that way
after
the baby is born?
c'est tout!

These photos are wonderfully fun. The tent idea is adorable.
ReplyDeletep.s. I'm pretty sure your belly button goes back to normal too!
Cute photos!
ReplyDeleteYour belly button will go back to normal. Just take advantage of how easy it is to clean. :)
I don't think in 'innie' necessarily becomes an 'outie' and certainly doesn't stay that way. I conferred with Joe about the state of my innie while pregnant and we don't think it ever popped. I used to have an innie tummy; however, that did pop and is irrevocably an outie. But nothing a decent girdle can't fix! Nice to see Dad has arrived.
ReplyDeleteit is great to see you all together again!
ReplyDeleteThink of your belly button as a pop-out timer. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad I came back here. I've missed so much... Photos are very cute. :D
ReplyDeleteWow, you have grown! I love Grub's look of amazement. And: My belly button never popped out (whew!).
ReplyDeletei love these photos. and that you are all together again. happy happy.
ReplyDeleteand giggling at the thought of the belly button as a pop-out timer. though that would freak me out too! hopefully it will pop right back in :)

ReplyDeletei hope grubs calming effect stays too :)
I agree, so great to see you together -- and it makes me think how crazy it is so many belly shots are just the mama! If we have another one I will take shots like this.
