today our
wee grub is
1 week old.
wee grub
and i came
home from
the hospital
today.
we are
so happy
to be home.
the last week
has been
one of
the worst and
best weeks
of my life.
best because
wee grub was born.
worst because
of how
it came about...
but that is
a long story
for another day.
for now
let's just
soak in
the amazingness
of a new little
person...
meet valerie flynn.
our little
procrastinator
arrived
on
september 18th
at 8:36pm
she weighed
3.31 kg
and
was
51 cm long.
xoxo

ReplyDeleteshe is a beauty! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteShe is truly beautiful, dear. And I'm one of those people who doesn't believe all babies, and particularly newborns, are. I agree with Eero's comment, and will add that you must reclaim that birth story, no matter how disappointing it may seem right now, for yourself, and transform it into a beautiful one, even as you acknowledge how challenging it was. Do rest and cuddle a lot with Grub and Wee Grub.
ReplyDeleteoh, wonderful! congratulations. i hope you all are doing well now. oxox
