my brother,
vee's uncle johnny,
visited us
for a week
in early june.
he is the
second sibling
to visit.
vee's
uncle joe
visited
when she was
just a wee one.
we took
johnny
to the castle
to look over
the city.
vee followed
uncle johnny
around everywhere...
well,
at least until
she discovered
some puddles.
she was
fascinated
by
uncle johnny.
he was
loud
and dynamic.
he made
funny faces.
she was intrigued
but also
a little
scared.
they shared
a love
for all
things
botanical.
they took
many walks
by the lake.
and had
some
interesting
conversations.
until
it was time
for johnny
to continue
his travels.
time
with visitors
is
usually
too brief
for vee.
just when
she really
warms up
to them,
they must leave.
