vee in berlin

in late july
we
went to
berlin
for the weekend.



on saturday
we arrived
and rode
the
berlin metro
to
kreuzberg
where we stayed.



we were
thrilled
with
the
combination
biergartens/playgrounds
in the
neighborhood.

it
provided
enjoyment
for both
parents
and
child.





vee had
a great time
at the park.



and the
children
were all
really nice
to her.

on sunday
we spend
the day with
our
friend jes.



we all
went
to museum island...







mostly
because
grub
really
wanted
to see the
neues museum.
a
famous
architecture firm
won
an award
for
their
rebuilding of the museum.



vee thought
it was
fun
although
she was not
allowed
to touch
anything
except
the
plastic-coated
brochures.



we
spent
some time
in the garden
before
vee & grub
headed
home
for a nap.

jes and i
enjoyed
an afternoon
at the museums
unencumbered
by a toddler.

on monday
we spent
the day
with
our friends,
margrit & vincent.



vee had
a wonderful time
playing...









and
having
dinner
with
her new friends.



on tuesday morning
we took
one last trip
to the
playground...





vee was very
protective
of her new friend.
she
made sure
he did not fall off
the merry-go-round.



then
it was time
for
another
long
train trip
home.
