my old photos
and found

the original
valérie
(her nickname
was "vally")...
this photo
was taken
around
this time
of year-
easter.
(anyone know
the year?)
i wish
my grandma
could have
met her
great
grand-daughter.
i plan
to tell vee
all about
her namesake.
i also
found
these
photos
of vee's
only cousin,
jonah,
when he was
a baby
(he's
5 years
older
than vee).

we are very
excited
that
jonah's dad,
vee's
uncle joe,
will be
visiting
in 2 weeks!!!

How exciting that Joe is visiting! I so wish I could, too. I'd love to see all of you again and meet wee Miss Vee. Love the photo of her namesake; she looks like a nifty lady.
ReplyDeleteI would have to go back through my photos but I think the photo of Grandma is from '75 or '76. The one of Jonah is easier to date--I remember he had the O2 in the ICU the first week of his life so he is maybe a week old in the first pic and 1-2 months old in the second. It's remarkable how much their looks change--he looks nothing like that now. Jonah is one of those kids in whom you can see both parents but one predominates--most of the time he favors his Mom but from some angles he looks exactly like Joe as a little boy. Valerie looks like her Dad to me, but again, there're some shots where I can see you as a baby. Also she is only 7 months old--Jonah changed a lot between that time and 1 year, the point at which he really started looking like himself. God that time sure flies--I'm remebering him as a baby and today we were talking about blasting squirrels off bird feeders with a garden hose. Auntie
