27 weeks: cauliflower-sized

it's difficult
to believe that
the 2nd trimester
is almost over!

wee grub
is now
about
the size
of a cauliflower
.

only
3 more months to go...
gulp.
it's pretty
scary to think
of how much
our lives
will change
in such
a short time.
a transition
that neither
of us can wrap
our heads
around...
like imagining
traveling
to a new land
that
there are no
photographs of...
you can try
to imagine
what it
will be like
but
it's pointless...
you won't know
what it's like
until you are
there
experiencing it.

the wee grub
seems to be
moving around
more regularly
and i can
pretty much
count
on
some wiggles,
kicks,
and punches
every time
i sit down
or lay down
to sleep.
grub is
shocked
at how
hard
she/he
can kick/punch...
so am i.
ouch!
hope that means
she/he
will be
super tough.

27 weeks: all three of us

this week
we move into
our new apartment
{hopefully}
and we can start
planning
the wee grub's room
so far we only
have
a cream colored
eames rocker

that we brought
with us.
looks like this:

we did finally
agree on
colors
for wee grub's room-
which was
more of
a debate
than
wee grub's
two possible names!
we are both
very picky
about
our color
palettes.
soon
we can decorate...
hooray!
always
my favorite part.

27 weeks- happy father's day grub!

  1. Love that last one :)

And yippee. This makes me miss being pregnant, although being a mama is even better.

  2. heh heh. i can only imagine the color debate.
    what won out?

and you have NO IDEA. there is no way to guess b/c you have no concept. plus you don't know what kind of baby you will get. they definitely come pre-wired. so there is no planning. no guidelines. just the unknown.

but it will be both fun and scary and wonderful and hard and everything else you are imagining !
